Here is a picture of Hannah, she is one of our two community fellows for this site. Hannah is 16 and has really enjoyed the opportunity to work hands on with the bats.

While trekking you should also be cautious of soldier ants like this one. The ant is about an inch and a half long, and can pack a powerful bite. Remember, they have also been known to kill small bats.

The forest appears to be an extending mass of green vegetation and trees, but if you look close enough, you can see beautiful flowers like this which really make the forest come to life.

One of the things we look out for while in the bush are these thorns which can regularly leave volunteers howling in pain.
