Tyler looks down at his grid to try and figure out his way through the jungle.

We found this large millipede(item on shirt) while trekking through the jungle on our introductory walk into the jungle. Millipedes can excrete a liquid which causes a bit of discomfort.

Later in the day, bats were brought into the lab in these sacks. This was the first time that we were able to get an up-close and personal look at a few different types of fruit, and insect eating bats. The bags are used to transport the bats to and from the jungle.

Here is a paper-version grid of the wildlife reserve which we use to navigate inside the jungle. Each of these coordinate points appear on red signs inside the jungle. The entire grid is 1 kilometer by 1 kilometer.

Here is a picture of the bungalows which we sleep in. Most apartments fit about 4-5 people comfortably.
